The girls track team traveled to Northeastern Friday night for the Knight Invite and placed 9th while being the smallest team of the ten schools there. There were a lot of PRs set once again by the girls as they were battling girls from area schools and the rain at the start of the meet. Maegan Dickmann and Campbell Kerns were the first Indians to line up in the 100mh and hurdles not being the best to do in the rain both girls were able to place in the top 11. Dickmann placed 5th and Kerns placed 11th. Novah Mote and Sofia Emrick were next in the 100m Dash. Mote battled and achieved a new PR and 13th place finish while Emrick just missed her best time and placed 15th. Ava Jefferis not feeling the greatest to begin the meet lined up for the 1600m run again some of the best in the area and battled to a 4th place finish and a new PR for the second meet in a row. The girls 4x1 relay team of Emmi Kreiner, LuLu, Novah Mote and Allyson Carter took over a second off of the previous best and ran to a 7th place finish. With a short break LuLu and Allyson Carter got right back on the line in the 400m Dash and both ran new PRs and great finishes. LuLu placed 6th and Allyson placed 11th for the girls. Next up it was once again Maegan Dickmann and Campbell Kerns in the 300mh. It wasn't their best races of the season but both girls ran very well and placed 10th and 11th for the Indians. Ava Jefferis once again was up in a very competitive 800m race against girls that she has battled with all year. Like the 1600 Ava took off and was able to run to a new PR while placing 9th. In the 200m Dash it was Sofia Emrick and Novah Mote once again. Both girls set new PRs for the event for the second time this season and placed 14th and 15th for the Indian girls. The 4x4 relay team of Emmi Kreiner, Allyson Carter, LuLu, and Ava Jefferis finished out the night of running. The girls placed 5th and were able to beat their previous PR by 7 seconds. This group of girls have taken 20 seconds off of their time since the beginning of the season. In Long Jump it was Campbell Kerns and Novah Mote representing the Indians and coming away with top ten finishes. Mote jumped to a new PR placing 4th while Kerns had her second best jump of the season and was able to place 9th. Sofia Emrick became the first thrower for the girls team in many years as she took on the girls in Shot Put. With less than a week of practice Emrick was able to place 16th.
